The Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation announced today that its 2025 Annual Campaign reached\u2014and surpassed by <strong>$432,389\u2014its $400,000 goal<\/strong>, thanks to the remarkable support of the public, businesses and volunteers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These funds will be used to improve several priority areas of the hospital, including the surgical suite, laboratory, long-term care and physiotherapy, making it possible to provide ever more effective and compassionate care to the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This extraordinary success is a testament to the incredible generosity of our community and the dedication of everyone who contributed to this campaign. Together, we have achieved something remarkable,&#8221; said Hollis Chamberlain, Chair of the 2025 Annual Campaign.&#8221; These funds will contribute directly to improving the care and services provided to our patients.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Significant, meaningful achievements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The benefits of this campaign will soon be felt on the ground:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>&#8211; <strong>In the surgical suite<\/strong>, new equipment will enable greater precision and faster recovery for patients;<\/li><li>&#8211; <strong>In the laboratory,<\/strong> diagnostic times will be reduced;<\/li><li>&#8211; <strong>In the long-term care unit<\/strong>, stimulating therapeutic activities will help maintain patients&#8217; physical, cognitive and psychological capacities;<\/li><li>&#8211; <strong>In physiotherapy<\/strong>, more precise tests will facilitate the development of personalized therapeutic plans.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Raymond Lanteigne agreed to share his experience as a patient:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;In 2025, I spent 85 consecutive days in the hospital in Bathurst. I underwent three surgical procedures there and experienced several episodes related to my medical condition. My life was in danger several times. Today, I have resumed my daily walks and am preparing to return to the Camino de Santiago for the eighth time. I consider myself lucky to have received care in a modern facility, with a competent team. I greatly appreciated their professionalism, expertise and bedside manner,&#8221; says Mr. Lanteigne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Essential support for Vitalit\u00e9 Health Network<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I would like to sincerely thank all our donors for their generosity. Through their dedication and commitment to their communities, those involved in fundraising move mountains and also play a crucial role in the continuous improvement of care. Our patients owe you a debt of gratitude,&#8221; said Dr. Natalie Banville, Vice-President of Medical Affairs at Vitalit\u00e9 Health Network, underscoring the importance of this philanthropic support for the quality of care provided at the Chaleur Regional Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Setting the course for 2026: an ambitious new goal<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Building on this success, the Foundation took the opportunity to launch its 2026 Annual Campaign, with an equally ambitious goal of $400,000. This new initiative will aim to meet essential health needs and support the remarkable work of the region&#8217;s professionals. Donations will be used to improve surgical suite services, ambulatory care and the mother-child program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTogether, we have the power to transform lives, here at home first. One day, it may be a relative, friend or colleague who will benefit from this support,\u201d said Jean-Guy Robichaud, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Chaleur&nbsp;Regional Hospital Foundation. \u201cWe are confident that our community will once again rise to this challenge to improve the care provided at our hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A foundation at the heart of the community<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since its creation, the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation has played a key role in improving health care in the region.
