Thanks to the generosity and commitment of participants, donors, and businesses, the \u201cWalk 1 km in my Shoes\u201d initiative raised a total of $63 647 for the Roses Radiothon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Organized by the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation in Bathurst, the Fondation H\u00f4pital de l\u2019Enfant-J\u00e9sus Inc, and the Fondation Les Amis de l&#8217;H\u00f4pital de Tracadie, this symbolic activity invites people to walk one kilometer in the shoes of someone who is fighting or has fought cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the honorary presidency of Mr. Ronald Losier, a well-known entrepreneur personally affected by the illness, the 2025 edition was a great success:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation (Bathurst): $22,950<br>\u2022 Fondation H\u00f4pital de l\u2019Enfant-J\u00e9sus Inc. (Caraquet): $14,452<br>\u2022 Fondation Les Amis de l&#8217;H\u00f4pital de Tracadie : $26,245<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWalking in the shoes of someone living with cancer is a reminder that for them, every step is a victory. It\u2019s a privilege to see our community come together to show them support and remind them that they are not alone,\u201d said Mr. Ronald Losier, Honorary Chair of the campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The funds raised will support the purchase of advanced technology medical equipment to improve the detection, treatment, and comfort of cancer patients across the Acadie-Bathurst region. These investments will directly enhance the quality and accessibility of care within our communities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The foundations extend their heartfelt thanks to all participants, donors, volunteers, and partners who contributed to the success of this meaningful edition.
