It exceeded its $350,000 objective by raising more than\n$377,208.86. The Roses Radiothon, the Charity Golf Classic and the Northern\nStar are among the major fundraising activities of the Annual Campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The funds raised will be used to purchase equipment for the Chaleur\nRegional Hospital in the areas of operating room, Electrodiagnosis, Obstetrics,\nMedical Imaging and the Orthopedic Outpatient Clinic. Here are the details: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Pieces of\nequipment that will allow certain procedures to be done in the outpatient\ndepartment rather than in the operating room, thereby freeing up operating\nrooms;<\/li><li>A system\nfor procedures that require difficult intubation;<\/li><li>A high\nperformance incubator with resuscitation system and phototherapy for newborns;<\/li><li>A stretcher\nfor transferring patients to the Magnetic Resonance Imaging machine;<\/li><li>Cardiac\nmonitors to increase the number of tests possible and thus reduce waiting\ntimes;<\/li><li>An\nautomated breast ultrasound machine.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The Foundation shines through the concerted efforts of all our special committees. I want to thank all the volunteers and donors.
