{"id":1233,"date":"2018-11-20T17:10:37","date_gmt":"2018-11-20T17:10:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fondationchaleur.ca\/?p=1233"},"modified":"2019-06-11T06:42:02","modified_gmt":"2019-06-11T06:42:02","slug":"northern-star-lighting-the-way-to-better-health-care-in-our-region","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fondationchaleur.ca\/en\/northern-star-lighting-the-way-to-better-health-care-in-our-region\/","title":{"rendered":"Northern Star \u2013 Lighting the way to better health care in our region!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www-dpk3f.hosts.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/conference-de-presse-1024x657.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Representatives of the Foundations of eight New Brunswick hospitals launched the 14th annual Northern Star Campaign this morning, in partnership with UNI Financial Cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All the profits from the Northern Star Campaign will go to the various participating Foundations so they can meet the health care needs in their respective regions. Stars are now available to you at a cost of $2, $5, $10, $25, $50 or $100 from your local UNI point of service and some businesses in the participating regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The eight participating Foundations include the:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation (Bathurst);<br>Fondation H\u00f4pital de l\u2019Enfant-J\u00e9sus Inc. (Caraquet);<br>Foundation of the Friends of the Grand Falls General Hospital Inc. (Grand Falls);<br>Fondation de l\u2019H\u00f4pital de Lam\u00e8que (Lam\u00e8que);<br>Friends of Healthcare Foundation (Campbellton);<br>Fondation Dr Romaric Boulay (Saint-Quentin);<br>Les Ami.e.s de l\u2019H\u00f4pital Stella-Maris-de-Kent (Sainte-Anne-de-Kent);<br>Fondation les Amis de L\u2019h\u00f4pital de Tracadie (Tracadie).<br>Dr. Anick Pelletier clearly explained the importance of such a fundraising campaign. \u201cI am well-placed to understand that illness can strike anyone. &nbsp;At some point, we will all have to set foot in one of our health facilities \u2013 for routine tests, for scans or even to see a specialist.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lighting of dedicated Christmas trees and holiday-themed figures as well as community Christmas trees near the hospitals will take place on the evening of Wednesday, December 5.
