The Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation held its 28th Annual General Meeting on Decembre 6th to present a positive report of the 2017-18 fiscal year.
The past years have been very important for the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation. We have successfully completed the largest fundraising campaign in the region’s history. During this campaign, we raised $5,386,691. We are extremely grateful to all those who made it possible for us to achieve and exceed the goals that we had set. The hospital expansion project is very important for people in the area and, in the end, they are the ones who will benefit from the new facilities.
« This would not be possible without the great generosity of our donors and the devotion of our volunteers. Each dollar invested in the Foundation is actually an investment in the health of people in our community », explains Mr. Jean-Guy Robichaud, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation.
The elected members of the board of Directors of the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation are: Jean-Guy Robichaud, Daryll Stothart, Annie Cyr, Stéphane Legacy, ex officio member, Dianne Haché, Philippe Ferguson, Normand Mourant, Yoland Chiasson, Jennifer Cleversey-Moffitt, Julie Pinette, Alice Hébert, Dr John Leblanc, Elizabeth Arseneau and René Legacy.
The mission of the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation is to work closely with the Chaleur Regional Hospital to identify its financial needs and then we create ties with the community to encourage donations. Specifically, we combine the hospital’s projects with the interests of our donors to better meet the ever-changing health care needs.
The board members also took the opportunity to honour the outgoing treasurer, Jennifer Henry, who recently announced her departure from the council. She can be seen in the photo with the Chairman, Jean-Guy Robichaud.
