Bathurst, January 29, 2025 – The Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation revealed today the impressive results of its 2024 Annual Campaign, surpassing its goal of $375,000 and raising an exceptional $431 696. These funds will be used to improve health care services in a number of priority areas, such as the fight against cancer and the Mother-Child sector.

“This extraordinary success is a testament to the incredible generosity of our community and the dedication of everyone who contributed to this campaign. Together, we’ve accomplished something remarkable, and these funds will have a direct impact on the care and services offered to our patients,” said Hollis Chamberlain, Chair of the 2024 Annual Campaign.
Announcing a remarkable partnership with Friends of Healthcare
The Foundation also announced an exceptional partnership with Friends of Healthcare, made possible by their popular Chase the Ace in 2024. This partnership, totalling $354,500, will fund essential projects in three priority sectors:
– Cardiac Rehabilitation
– Intensive Care
– Occupational Therapy
These funds will be used to meet urgent needs, from equipment modernization to innovative solutions for critical care and rehabilitation.

Launch of the 2025 Annual Campaign
The Foundation also took this opportunity to launch their 2025 Annual Campaign, with an ambitious goal of $400,000. These funds will be used to meet essential needs in key medical areas, strengthening the quality of care and supporting the work of health care professionals in our community.
The planned investments will enhance services in the Surgical Suite, facilitating more precise surgical procedures and optimizing the patient experience, particularly for younger patients. As for the Extended Care sector, innovations will enrich residents’ daily lives, promoting cognitive stimulation and general well-being. Furthermore, the planned improvements in the Laboratory will contribute to faster, more accurate diagnoses, thereby supporting the region’s commitment to medical excellence.
