At 3:00 p.m. this afternoon at Place Bathurst Mall, the foundations of the Acadie-Bathurst hospitals held a draw for the GIANT CHRISTMA STOCKING under the supervision of Mr. Gilles Deveaux from EPR Bathurst/Péninsule. The draw was also broadcast live on CKLE, the official partner of the event. The foundations of the Acadie-Bathurst hospitals would first like to congratulate Mrs. Eva Godin, and to thank everyone who participated in this year’s draw! With the participation of businesses in the Chaleur region and the Acadian Peninsula, Mrs. Eva Godin has receive more than $5,000 in prizes.
This important activity involving the Chaleur region and the Acadian Peninsula took place as part of the Roses Radiothon. Thanks to the people of the Acadian Peninsula and the Chaleur region who participated by purchasing $2 tickets, $20,984 was raised to improve the health care delivered by the regions’ four hospitals.
“I wish to thank everyone who participated in the Giant Christmas Stocking draw and who made this activity a success. I would also like to take this opportunity to encourage people to participate in the various activities taking place in your region as part of the Roses Radiothon 2020 between now and April 24. The Roses Radiothon, for the health of our region!’” declared Joseph Lanteigne, Chair of the Roses Radiothon for Caraquet.
The Roses Radiothon 2020 will continue until April 24 with a number of fundraising activities planned in the coming months.
The Roses Radiothon’s objective is $150,000 to purchase equipment for the fight against cancer while also supporting the needs of the facilities in Caraquet, Tracadie and Lamèque.
